Red Sox Prospect Che-Hsuan Lin Has Best Arm in Farm System

23 year-old outfield prospect Che-Hsuan Lin has always had a cannon for an arm and he continues to show it off in the 2011 Taiwan All-Star Series. Former teammate of Lin and current Red Sox outfielder, Josh Reddick, had this to say about him:

"He's got the best arm I've ever seen." Reddick elaborated, "The accuracy is not 100 percent there yet, but I've seen him make throws from the warning track to third on one hop and throw a guy out at second, so it's pretty unreal to see what he can do."

Baseball America ranked Lin as the 25th best Red Sox prospect heading into last season, but gave him the honors of 'Best Strike-Zone Disipline', 'Best Defensive Outfielder' and 'Best Outfield Arm' in the Red Sox farm system.

Lin batted .245 with two homers, 36 RBIs and 28 steals between double-A and Triple-A last season. Along with his speed and defensive prowess, his ability to get on base at a decent clip – despite a low batting average – is one of Lin's strengths. His OBP in the minors was a respectable .340 last season – nearly 100 points higher than his batting average.
