Oakland Athletics Reportedly Withdraw Offer For Adrian Beltre

By trading for Adrian Gonzalez, the Red Sox unofficially ended their pursuit of Adrian Beltre. With Gonzalez taking over at first base, Kevin Youkilis will shift back across the diamond to third base, meaning Beltre has no where to play.

And the bad news continued for Beltre when the Oakland A's reportedly withdrew their offer to the third baseman

It had been reported that the A's were offering Beltre a five-year deal worth upwards of $60 million. Both Olney and Rosenthal wrote that the A's grew frustrated of waiting for an answer from Beltre, especially after he had rejected their three-year proposal last offseason.

The Angels and Orioles have also expressed interest in Beltre.
