Who doesn't enjoy popping bubble wrap when presented the chance?
↵The Lowell Spinners took advantage of our shared enjoyment of the packaging product when they hosted a "50th Anniversary Salute to Bubble Wrap " at their home field, LeLacheur Park, on July 17th. For their salute, GameOps.com named the promotion the "Best Game Promotion" in all of professional sports for the 2010 calendar year. The Spinners beat out the NBA's New York Knicks' "I've Got a Feeling Flash Mob Dance" for the top spot.
↵GameOps.com chose the Spinners because of their trifecta of having all 3,692 attendees pop bubble wrap all at once, having every attendee who was also turning 50 in 2010 dance to a 50 Cent song, and a "Bubble Wrap Mummy Wrapping Race" (self-explanatory.)
↵The Spinners expressed pride on their "Best Game Promotion" award, with Vice President and General Manager Tim Bawmann boasting in a release:
↵↵We are in the business of creating memories and this is a memory fans, staff and players alike who participated in this event will always remember."
