Chris Pantale Injury Update: Pantale To Miss 6-8 Weeks, Surgery Possible

CHESTNUT HILL - One day after breaking a bone in his right foot, Boston College Eagles senior tight end Chris Pantale said that he will likely miss six to eight weeks of recovery time, and surgery is possible. Pantale had been favoring the foot at practice and trying to play through the injury, but could not do so.

Frank Spaziani, the Eagles head coach, shared the news of Pantale's injury at media day.

"Chris injured himself yesterday," Spaziani said on Friday. "He broke a bone in his foot. We're still not quite sure how long this is going to impact [us], but it's significant time. I just got the information this morning. I don't want to put a time on it, but it's significant."

Pantale has played three seasons at BC, amassing 797 receiving yards and five scores. Last season, Pantale started 12 games and caught 21 balls for 236 yards and three scores.
