The Dallas Mavericks waived center Sean Williams on Thursday (via ESPN Dallas).

Williams was drafted in 2007 by the New Jersey Nets (1st Round, 17th overall). He played in a career-high 73 games (29 starts) for the Nets in 2007. He averaged 5.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game in 17.5 minutes per game. Williams was with the Nets organization from 2007-2010. He joined the Texas Legends in 2010 after spending time playing overseas in Puerto Rico and China. The Mavericks signed Williams as a free agent last December.

During his last season at BC, Williams averaged 12.1 points, 6.9 rebounds and 5.0 blocks per game.
