Boston College Football's Jaryd Rudolph Charged With Unlawful Recording

Jaryd Rudolph, a 19-year-old student at Boston College and member of the football team, has been charged with unlawful recording after allegedly recording audio of a roommate's sexual encounter with a graduate student.

Jaryd Rudolph, a 19-year-old student at Boston College and Plympton native, has been charged with unlawful recording after allegedly recording audio of a roommate's consensual sexual encounter with a graduate student on Feb. 15. Rudolph is a member of the Eagles' football team, but has been suspended from the team and is on university probation.

The female student reported the incident to school police after learning that the encounter was recorded when friends of Rudolph came to the restaurant she worked at and played the audio recording to her. Rudolph, who doesn't have a criminal record, was released on personal recognizance and must stay away from the female student.

Rudolph, a sophomore, played in four games for the Eagles last season, recording six tackles (four solo). Rudolph's best game came against the Duke Blue Devils in his second game when he had a career-best two tackles, both solo.
