Seton Hall Vs. UMass Score Final Score: Minutemen Win, 77-67

The Massachusetts Minutemen defeated the Seton Hall Pirates on Saturday, advancing to the third round of the 2012 NIT Tournament.

UMass has now won two games in the NIT Tournament as a five seed. They defeated four seed, Mississippi State, in the first round and the region's first seed, Seton Hall, in the second round. They await the winner of Drexel and Northern Iowa in the third round.

The Minutemen enjoyed a balanced scoring attack, with five players scoring at least nine points. Guard Chaz Williams led the team with 20 points, while adding seven rebounds and six assists to his overall statline. Big man Sean Carter recorded a double double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Seton Hall's Fuquan Edwin scored a game-high 21 points.
