The Massachusetts Minutemen continue the National Invitational Tournament Saturday morning against the Seton Hall Pirates.
UMass began the NIT with a thrilling double overtime victory against Mississippi St. on Tuesday. Behind 28 points, eight rebounds and six assists from Chaz Williams, the Minutemen scored a season high of 101 points and made every bucket they needed to hold off the Bulldogs, 101-96.
Seton Hall held off a strong effort from Stony Brook to escape the first round with a 63-61 win when Seawolves sharpshooter Bryan Dougher missed a three with two seconds remaining.
