Michael Snaer and the Florida St. Seminoles are in town to face the young and struggling Boston College Eagles as the season winds down at 7:00 p.m. EDT on Wednesday night at Conte Forum in Chestnut Hill, MA (TV/Radio: ESPN3/WEEI).
Boston College and Florida State have met eight times in school history, with each team owning four victories against the other. Recent history has favored the Seminoles, though, as the Eagles have dropped four of the last five meetings. Still, the Eagles are 3-1 against the Seminoles in games played at Conte Forum. Last season, FSU took down BC, 61-57.
The Eagles are on a season-worst losing streak, having dropped six in a row. In the last loss, the Eagles were topped 51-47 by the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Feb. 4. Matt Humphrey scored 15 points for the second straight game to lead Boston College, which shot 34.7 percent. Lonnie Jackson added 10 points for the Eagles.
Florida State, meanwhile, has rattled off seven consecutive victories and has won eight of nine. The Seminoles survived a close contest against the Virginia Cavaliers in their last win, 58-55, Okaro White's 13 points and five rebounds off the bench paced Florida State, which shot 47.8 percent. Xavier Gibson scored 10 and collected five rebounds in the victory.
Boston College heads out on the road to face the Virginia Tech Hokies on Sunday.
