Boston College Vs. Georgia Tech Final Score: Eagles Scratch Out 56-52 Win

Prepare yourselves, the Boston College Eagles are on a winning streak. They beat Georgia Tech on Wednesday night by a final score of 56-52 to close out their home dates for the season. It was their first win after losing four straight.

The Yellow Jackets struggled from the three-point line, hitting just four of 18 attempts. Boston College also managed to stay out of foul trouble, letting Tech go to the line just four times.

Boston College shot 42.2 percent from the field, besting Georgia Tech’s 37.7 percent. Junior guard Matt Humphrey led the Eagles with 13 points. Only other Boston College player managed to tally double figures for scoring, Ryan Anderson working off the bench.

This has been a disappointing season for the Eagles, who own a 9-20 record with one game left to play. The win also moves them to 4-11 in the ACC. They will battle to stay out of last place in the ACC, one year removed from a fourth place finish in the conference and a 21-13 overall record.

The Eagles travel to Miami on Saturday for an afternoon game against the Hurricanes.

Boston College has a chance to see Miami again in the first round of the ACC tournament, which starts on March 8. The Eagles will have either the 11th or 12th seed in the tournament.
