Boston College Football To Install New AstroTurf At Alumni Stadium

Anyone who has been to Alumni Stadium, the home of the Boston College Eagles football team, in Chestnut Hill, MA has probably noticed that the field isn't in particularly great shape. That's about to change, as the school will install a new AstroTurf surface on the field, according to a joint press release from the school and AstroTurf.

"We went through an exhaustive search to find the best field available for our needs," said Gene DeFilippo, Boston College's Director of Athletics. "We were impressed with what AstroTurf had to offer and they stood out as the logical choice."

The Eagles currently have an artificial surface at Alumni Stadium, but it will be replaced with AstroTurf's GameDay Grass 3D6OH field, according to the press release. The new surface will be installed in the spring (although with the winter we're having, or lack thereof, they could probably just install it now).
