Visiting North Carolina isn't the recommended prescription for a struggling, inexperienced men's basketball team readying for its first ACC contest. But there's nothing Boston College can do. The No. 3 Tar Heels are next on the schedule.
Boston College lost its final two non-conference games against Harvard and Rhode Island. The latter loss, which came Monday at the Conte Forum, was a double overtime affair. Rhode Island seized control in the second overtime, allowing the Rams to push past Boston College despite 18 points and 14 rebounds from Eagles freshman Ryan Anderson.
North Carolina enters ACC play on a seven game winning streak. The Tar Heels have not lost since dropping a one-point decision to Kentucky, winning their last four games by an average of 36 points.
