Boston College Vs. Virginia: Eagles Outworked By Cavaliers, 66-49

Ryan Anderson notched another double-double, finishing with 12 points and 10 rebounds, but the Boston College Eagles found themselves on the wrong end of the scoreboard as the Virginia Cavaliers cruised to a 66-49 win on Thursday night.

Anderson wasn't particularly effective from the floor, making only 4-of-11 field goals. Then again, Boston College wasn't effective on the whole -- the Eagles made 18-of-45 field goals to shoot an even 40 percent in their third-straight loss.

Lonnie Jackson and Dennis Clifford both scored eight points for the Eagles. Matt Humphrey and Danny Rubin scored six points apiece and Gabe Moton added five points off the bench, which combined for 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting for BC.

Mike Scott led all scorers with 18 points for Virginia, which was solid from the floor, shooting 50.9 percent (27-for-53). Jontel Evans and Akil Mitchell each scored 10 points and both Joe Harris and Sammy Zeglinski finished with eight points.

Boston College returns home to face the Miami Hurricanes on Sunday afternoon.
