Max Holloway became the second member of the Boston College Eagles to forgo his senior season and declare for the 2012 NFL Draft, according to a press release from the school on Thursday. Luke Kuechly, who played three seasons at BC and is the school's all-time leading tackler, also declared for the draft last Friday evening.

"I love Boston College, and I have earned my degree," Holloway said in a statement. "I'm excited about moving on to the next chapter in my life."

Holloway was fourth on the team in tackles last season, totaling 47 (29 solo, 18 assists) and had eight tackles for a loss, one interception, two pass deflections and 2.5 sacks. Holloway played in all 12 games and would have been a fifth-year season had he chose to return.
