Boston College's Ifeanyi Momah Suffers Knee Injury, Will Miss Entire Season

Boston College senior wide receiver Ifeanyi Momah has suffered an ACL injury in his knee and will miss the rest of the 2011 regular season, according to a press release from the Boston College media relations department.

Boston College Eagles senior wide receiver Ifeanyi Momah has suffered an ACL injury in his knee and will miss the rest of the 2011 regular season, according to a press release from the Boston College media relations department.

BC did not release the cause of Momah's injury, but the senior wideout was injured during Saturday's game against the Wildcats during a special teams play in the fourth quarter, but he jogged off the field under his own power.

Momah had a spectacular 2011 debut against the Northwestern Wildcats on Saturday, catching eight balls for 171 receiving yards. Last season, Momah was third on the team with 19 catches for 296 yards and three touchdowns.

Momah also missed the entire 2009 season with a medical redshirt as a result of an injury, making him ineligible for one this season. Boston College is now in the process of submitting an appeal for a sixth year of eligibility for Momah.
