Boston College Vs. UMass: Chase Rettig, Eagles Lead 38-10 After 3rd Quarter

CHESTNUT HILL - Chase Rettig has set a career high with three touchdown passes and has thrown for 196 yards as the Boston College Eagles lead the UMass Minutemen, 38-10, after three quarters.

BC led 24-7 entering the third quarter, and UMass opened the scoring with a 38-yard field goal from Brendon Levengood with 4:33 to go, cutting the deficit to 24-10. Rettig then threw his third touchdown of the game - a 37-yard TD to Colin Larmond Jr. - to put the Eagles up 31-10 with 1:36 left in the quarter. Later, Nick Clancy recovered a Jonathan Hernandez fumble and returned it 19 yards for the score, giving BC a 38-10 cushion with 1:17 left in the third.

Kellen Pagel has completed 11-of-25 passes for 133 yards and two interceptions for UMass. Hernandez has rushed for 56 yards on 19 carries and Jesse Julmiste has 214 kick return yards and a 100-yard touchdown.
