Boston College Vs. Duke: TV Schedule, Time, Location, History And More

Luke Kuechly and the Boston College Eagles host the Duke Blue Devils in the Atlantic Coast Conference opener for both teams in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts.

Event: Boston College Eagles vs. Duke Blue Devils - NCAA Football, Week 3.

Date/Time: Saturday, September 17, 2011 - 12:30 p.m. EDT.

Location: Alumni Stadium (Capacity: 44,500), Chestnut Hill, MA.

Broadcast Info: Saturday's game between the Eagles and Blue Devils will be aired on the ACC Network, and can be seen on TV 38 in the Boston area. Steve Marrtin will provide play-by-play, Dave Archer will provide analysis and Dave Baker will be reporting from the sidelines. The game can also be seen live online at theACC.com/live.

The game can also be heard on the radio on the WEEI Sports Radio Network. Due to the Boston Red Sox game, Saturday's BC-Duke game will be heard on WRKO 680 AM. Jon Meterparel will be on play-by-play duty and Pete Cronan will provide analysis. Former Eagles quarterback Brian St. Pierre will report from the sidelines.

Series History: Boston College leads the all-time series against Duke, 4-1. In the last meeting between the two teams in 2010, the Eagles escaped with a 21-16 win after two third-quarter touchdowns from Chase Rettig and a strong stand on defense to end the game. BC has bested Duke twice since joining the ACC back in 2005.

Storyline: BC couldn't have started the season off in worse fashion, losing their first two games in embarrassing fashion. The Eagles fell to the Northwestern Wildcats, 24-17, in the season opener on September 3 and were blow away by the Central Florida Knights, 30-3, last Saturday. With ACC play opening on Saturday, it's crucial that the Eagles get back on their feet and put up a strong showing if they wish to obtain a bowl bid.

Chase Rettig and Luke Kuechly should have strong games on offense and defense, respectively, and backup tailback Andre Williams has filled in admirably for Montel Harris, who will miss his third straight game.

For Duke, which has also lost its first two games of the season, the play of quarterback Sean Renfree, running back Juwan Thompson and wideout Conner Vernon will be critical if the Blue Devils want to pick up their first win.

Prediction: With both teams down, this game could be a dogfight. Expect Boston Collrge to right the ship, at least in today's game. Final Score: Boston College 24, Duke 17.
