BC's Jaclyn Thoman To Play In Germany

Jaclyn Thoman, a 5-foot-9 guard who graduated from Boston College last spring, has signed a one-year deal toplay overseas with Germany's Damen Basketball Bundesliga. Thoman played four seasons on the BC women's basketball team, averaging 6.3 points and four assists in 129 career games.

"It was such an amazing feeling," said Thoman, who signed her contract (which lasts until May) on Friday. " I'm not really nervous at all. I'm more excited to continue my career. It has been such a process and I'm just thankful that I have the opportunity to do something I am so incredibly passionate about."

Thoman finished her career at BC with 812 points, 521 assists and 144 steals during her time in Chestnut Hill. Last season, Thoman averaged a career-best 10.3 points and had 169 assists and 46 steals in 33 games.

Naturally, Thoman doesn't know what to expect overseas, but that won't be a deterrent.

"I don't really know what to expect, but as long as I'm on the court, I'm going to be happy," said Thoman.
