Steve Donahue, the Boston College men's basketball coach, will take part in the American Cancer Society's Coaches Vs. Cancer 5K classic that takes part on Saturday, September 10th at the BC campus in Chestnut Hill.

The registration fee is $30 on the day of the classic for adults, $20 for students and $10 for kids.

Coaches vs. Cancer, which began in 1993 as a collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches, has raised more than $60 million to support the Society's mission of saving lives by helping people stay well, helping people get well, by finding cures and fighting back against the disease. Through their passion for the game and their promotion of healthy lifestyles, coaches have elevated awareness at their schools, in their communities and throughout the nation, oftentimes emphasizing how cancer has touched them personally.
