CHESTNUT HILL - Reggie Jackson was held scoreless and committed two turnovers as No. 1 seed Boston College trails No. 4 seed Northwestern, 38-31, at halftime in the second round of the 2011 NIT.
Joe Trapani scored eight points and Biko Paris added six points for Boston College, which shot 54.2% (13-for-24) in the first half. Josh Southern scored seven points off the bench for the Eagles.
Michael Thompson led all scorers with 10 points for the Wildcats, who made 15-of-31 field goals (48.4%). John Shurna had nine points and five rebounds and Drew Crawford added eight points for Northwestern.
The Wildcats made 7-of-19 three-pointers in the opening half while the Eagles buried 4-of-6 shots beyond the arc.
