Virginia Tech Vs. Boston College: Eagles Lead Hokies, 27-24, At Halftime

CHESTNUT HILL - Jeff Allen scored 13 first-half points to lead all scorers, but it wasn’t enough to put Virginia Tech on top, and the Hokies trail Boston College, 27-24, entering halftime.

Joe Trapani led Boston College with nine points. Josh Southern scored five points and has been an effective option in the low post. Reggie Jackson, the Eagles leader in scoring, assists and steals, was held scoreless in the first half. He missed all three of his shots.

Malcolm Delaney, the Hokies’ leading scorer, was held to two points. Terrell Bell scored seven points and Victor Davila added two points for Virginia Tech.

Boston College shot 44% while Virginia Tech sank 30% of its shots in the opening half.
