Bracketology: Boston College Projected As No. 11 Seed

Boston College is projected as a No. 11 seed in the latest SB Nation Bracketology. The Eagles, who defeated Maryland and lost to No. 19 UNC last week, are listed as one of Chris Dobbertean's Next Four In.

Of this group, only the Butler Bulldogs are rising. The Golden Gophers are reeling without Al Nolen, as they've lost five of six; Boston College is alternating wins and losses right now; and Marquette is in need of a quality win (perhaps against Connecticut in Hartford on Thursday?).

The Eagles are one of five ACC teams projected by Dobbertean to make the NCAA tournament. Duke (25-2, 12-1 ACC) is listed as a No. 2 seed, while North Carolina (20-6, 10-2 ACC) is a No. 4 seed. Florida State (19-7, 9-3 ACC) is a No. 7 seed and Virginia Tech (17-8, 7-5 ACC) is a No. 12 seed, and listed as one of Dobbertean's first four in.

The Big East has an unprecedented 11 teams projected to makes the tournament: Pittsburgh, Georgetown, Notre Dame, Louisville, Connecticut, Syracuse, Villanova, St. John's, West Virginia, Cincinnati and Marquette are all in, according to Dobbertean.

The Big 10 has the second-most teams projected to go dancing (Ohio State, Purdue, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Illinois and Minnesota). The ACC has the third-most teams projected to make the cut in the nation.
