CHESTNUT HILL - Reggie Jackson scored a game-high 13 points in the first half, but Maryland was able to escape with a 40-37 lead over the Eagles entering the intermission.
Jackson made 5-of-6 field goals and hit 2-of-2 three-pointers in the opening half. John Cahill added six points on two threes and Joe Trapani added seven points for Boston College.
Jordan Williams, the Terrapins leading scorer, was held scoreless through the first 13 minutes before scoring on a second-chance putback following a Trapani block. Williams finished the first half with just four points. Dino Gregory scored nine points and Pe’Shon Howard added nine points in the first half for Maryland.
Boston College shot 48.3% in the first half while Maryland made 46.9% of its shots in the first twenty minutes.
