Boston College's Luke Kuechly Named To Walter Camp All-America First Team

Another day, another honor for Boston College Eagles junior linebacker Luke Kuechly, who was named to the Walter Camp All-America First Team, as announced by the organization on Thursday night.

Kuechly, the recipient of the Butkus Award, was also named a Walter Camp First Team All-American in his sophomore season and is the only repeat honoree on defense. Kuechly is one of only five players to receive First Team honors for the past two years, joining Oregon Ducks running back LaMichael James, Stanford Cardinal quarterback Andrew Luck, Oklahoma St. Cowboys wide receiver Justin Blackmon and Oklahoma Sooners wideout Ryan Broyles.

Kuechly is the ninth player from Boston College to be named to the Walter Camp All-America team and is the school's only repeat winner. Kuechly led the nation in tackles, both total (191) and solo (102), and has 532 career tackles - both a school and Atlantic Coast Conference record.
