PROVIDENCE - Ryan Anderson has a game-high nine points on 2-of-5 shooting (2-of-3 from three-point range), but the Boston College Eagles find themselves behind, 30-26, against the Providence Friars at halftime at the Dunkin Donuts Center.
Boston College made 6-of-22 field goals in the first half and shot 40 percent from three-point range (4-for-10). Providence made 11-of-30 field goals while making 4-of-13 three pointers in the opening 20 minutes.
Lonnie Jackson scored two early threes and has six points for BC. Patrick Heckmann has five points and Dennis Clifford has four points and three rebounds. Matt Humphrey has two points on 1-of-3 shooting for Boston College.
Bryce Cotton scored eight points in the first half to lead the Friars. LaDontae Henton had seven points and three rebounds and Bilal Dixon had six points and six rebounds. Gerard Coleman scored four points for Providence.
