Ouch.
Thursday night’s NCAA football game between the Florida State Seminoles and Boston College Eagles, which took place at Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill, Mass., has come to a close.
So too, has the open wound known as the Eagles’ defense.
Boston College was hemorrhaging yards tonight, giving up 21 points in the second quarter en route to a 38-7 loss at home. The Eagles lone score came on Chase Rettig’s pass to Bobby Swigert in the third quarter.
Ironically, BC actually outscored the visiting team 7-3 in the third frame, but it was too little, too late. Devonta Freeman rushed for 57 yards and notched two touchdowns in a game that saw the Eagles fail to capitalize or make big plays when they needed to.
Florida state improves to 6-3 with the victory while the Eagles fall to 2-7 in defeat.
