Gabe Moton and Lonnie Jackson both made two three pointers in the first half and had six points, but the Boston College Eagles fell behind the New Mexico Lobos, 41-25, after 20 minutes of play in the fifth place game of the 76 Classic on Sunday afternoon in Anaheim, CA.
BC fell behind 16-5 through seven and a half minutes and found itself in a 22-7 hole with 9:10 to play before halftime. The Lobos closed out the half on a 19-18 run to take the lead into the break. Boston College struggled from the field, making only 9-of-26 field goals and 6-of-17 three pointers in the opening half.
Drew Gordon leads all scorers with 10 points for New Mexico, which made 17-of-28 first half field goals and 4-of-11 three pointers. Tony Snell and Jamal Fenton each had seven points for the Lobos.
