CHESTNUT HILL - Steve Donahue, Patrick Heckmann and John Cahill all spoke to the media following Boston College's 67-64 win over New hampshire in the season opener on Monday night at Conte Forum.
Heckmann led the Eagles in scoring with 19 points and also grabbed eight rebounds while Cahill only hit one shot in the game, but it was a big one, burying a three-pointer with 55 seconds to go in the game and giving BC a 65-61 advantage.
Boston College (1-0) led 30-23 at halftime but was outscored by New Hampshire (1-1), 41-37, in the final 20 minutes to bring the Wildcats within striking distance. However, the Eagles were able to preserve the victory.
