BC's Montel Harris Out Against Clemson

Boston College's slim chances of pulling off a big upset in Death Valley this weekend may have just entirely gone down the drain, as the news today out of Chestnut Hill is that Eagles' senior tailback Montel Harris will not play in the team's road game against the Clemson Tigers this Saturday.

"Montel had an MRI and he had a little swelling so we are shutting him down,'' said Spaziani."They just did the MRI. I haven't had time to discuss with Montel, but he isn't playing this week and next week we have off.'' (via Mark Blaudschun, Boston Globe)

Harris, who became the Eagles' all-time leading rusher last weekend in a 27-19 loss to Wake Forest, has played in only two games this season and has totaled 135 rushing yards on 31 carries this season. For his career, Harris has 3,735 yards and 27 touchdowns on 787 carries.

Andre Williams twisted his ankle during Saturday's loss and is "iffy" according to Blaudschun. Frank Spaziani said that Rolandan Finch (nicknamed Deuce) will likely be the first man in the backfield for BC, which also should have the services of back Tahj Kimble.
