Boston College Vs. Maryland Final: Boston College Wins 28-17, Rolandan Finch Rushes for 243

The Boston College Eagles finally earned their first FBS victory of the season by defeating the Maryland Terrapins by a final score 28-17 in College Park, Maryland. The Eagles record after today's victory is 2-6 and 1-4 in the ACC.

A pretty game this was not. The two teams combined for six turnovers – four for Boston College and two for Maryland. The three quarterbacks who played in this game completed a combined 21-63 for 211 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions.

BC's quarterback Chase Rettig only completed five passes for 32 yards. Luckily the Eagles rushing attack dominated, to a tune of 372 yards and four touchdowns. Sophomore running back Rolandan Finch had not carried the ball more than 19 times all season, and only had 87 total rushes during his career at Boston College. Today he carried 39 times for 243 yards and two touchdowns. Interestingly, none of Finch's carries went for more than 19 yards – he just chipped away at the Terrapin defense all game.

Boston College will host the Florida State Seminoles next Thursday, November 3, which will be televised on ESPN and ESPN3.
