Boston College Vs. Maryland: Eagles Look For Second Win Against Terrapins

Desperate for their first FBS win, the Boston College Eagles (1-6, 0-4 ACC) take on the struggling Maryland Terrapins (2-5, 1-3 ACC) at 3:00 p.m. EDT on Saturday afternoon at Byrd Stadium in College Park, Maryland (TV/Radio: RSN/WEEI).

Luke Kuechly and the Boston College Eagles (1-6, 0-4 ACC) are in search of their second win of the season and first FBS victory as they take on Danny O'Brien and the struggling Maryland Terrapins (2-5, 1-3 ACC) at 3:00 p.m. EDT on Saturday afternoon at Byrd Stadium (TV/Radio: RSN/WEEI).

The Eagles and Terps will meet for the ninth time ever on Saturday, with BC owning a 5-3 record in the all-time series against Maryland. Boston College is 4-2 against the Terps since joining the ACC in 2005, but Maryland edged BC, 24-21, in their last meeting on October 23, 2010. The Eagles are 3-2 against the Terps in games played at Byrd Stadium.

BC is coming off a 30-14 loss to the ACC powerhouse Virginia Tech Hokies last Saturday. Logan Thomas threw for 268 yards and one touchdown in the win while Eagles quarterback Chase Rettig passed for 181 yards and a score while throwing one interception. Rolandan Finch was one of BC's lone bright spots, rushing for 92 yards on 18 carries.

The Eagles don't rank well statistically in any categories, ranking 108th in points for (18.7) and 62nd in points against (26.3) while averaging 197 passing yards (92nd in nation) and 114.3 rushing yards (102nd in nation).

Maryland is fresh off a 41-16 shellacking at the hands of the Florida St. Seminoles, who the Eagles will face this Thursday at Alumni Stadium. O'Brien passed for 180 yards and one touchdown on 9-of-18 passing and Quintin McCree had a monster game with 177 receiving yards on nine catches for the Terps.

The Terrapins don't rank well, either, allowing 31.4 points per game (94th in nation) while scoring 25 points per game (80th in country). In addition, the Terps are ranked 78th in passing yards (215) and 51st in rushing yards (168.3)/
