N.C. State Vs. Boston College: Greetings From Conte Forum

CHESTNUT HILL – With less than half an hour before game time, Conte Forum isn’t exactly overflowing with people.

That’s to be expected, though, considering the mammoth snowstorm that’s on its way. Nevertheless, fans continue to trickle into the stadium, getting settled to watch Boston College and N.C. State square off at 9 p.m. EST (TV/Radio: ESPNU/WEEI).

BC enters the game at 12-4 and is coming off of an 86-75 win over ACC foe Georgia Tech. N.C. State is 11-4 and has won five games in a row entering tonight’s showdown.

The Eagles are led by the star trio of Reggie Jackson, Joe Trapani and Corey Raji, who are among the team’s top scorers and rebounders.

As for the Wolfpack, they have a much more balanced scoring attack with five players averaging double-digit scoring. Tracy Smith is N.C. State’s leading scorer, averaging 13.6 points.

PREDICTION: Boston College 87, N.C. State 84 – Both teams enter this game with a solid chance of winning, as both have been playing solid basketball to start the season. However, the Eagles do have the home court advantage, and sometimes that can translate into wins. I think it does tonight, and the Eagles should come away with a slim victory over the Wolfpack.
