Boston College (9-2, 1-0 ACC) remains tied atop the ACC standings with Florida State (9-2, 1-0 ACC) and Virginia (8-3, 1-0 ACC), despite the fact that Duke (11-0) has the best overall record in the conference and the top ranking in both the AP Top 25 Poll and the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll.
The Eagles played only once this week, defeating Bryant University 93-77 on Sunday afternoon at Conte Forum. Boston College is off until Wednesday when it hosts Bucknell at 7 p.m. EST.
As for Florida State, it defeated Stetson 97-63 on Wednesday and topped Loyola Marymount 74-63 on Saturday. Virginia had a solid week as well, defeating Oregon 63-48 on Friday and Norfolk State 50-49 on Monday.
The top-ranked Blue Devils have played once this week, crushing Elon 98-72 on Monday. Duke does not face its first ACC opponent until Sunday, January 2nd when it hosts Miami (FL).
Miami (7-3), North Carolina (7-4), Georgie Tech (6-4) , N.C. State (6-4) and Wake Forest (6-5) have all not yet faced an ACC opponent. Clemson (7-4, 0-1 ACC), Maryland (7-4, 0-1 ACC) and Virginia Tech (6-4, 0-1 ACC) are tenth, eleventh and twelfth in the ACC, having lost to ACC foes Florida State, Boston College and Virginia, respectively.
