Boston College's Luke Kuechly Named AP All-American

Boston College sophomore linebacker Luke Kuechly has been named an AP All-American.

After recording the second most tackles in the nation during his freshman season in 2009, Kuechly was second-to-none this year, picking up 170 tackles, 101 of them solo. Kuechly also picked up a pair of sacks and interceptions to go with a forced fumble.

Kuechly joins Greg Jones from Michigan State and Von Miller from Texas A&M as first team linebackers, coming in second to the latter for the Butkus award given to the nation’s top collegiate linebacker.

Only two other ACC players made received first-team honors: DE Da’Quan Bowers from Clemson, and OL Rodney Hudson from Florida State.
