Boston College 23, Wake Forest 13: Montel Harris Runs For 3 TDs in Eagles' Win

Winston-Salem, NC (Sports Network) - Montel Harris rushed for 183 yards and three touchdowns on 36 carries in leading the Boston College Eagles over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, 23-13, in an ACC battle.

Chase Rettig completed 12 of his 16 pass attempts for 133 yards and two interceptions in the win for Boston College (4-5, 2-4 ACC).

Wake Forest (2-7, 1-5) was led by receiver Chris Givens who had five receptions for 96 yards and a score. Quarterback Tanner Price had a tough outing, throwing for 177 yards and four interceptions on 18-of-30 passing in the loss.

Harris scored the first of his three touchdowns on the first drive of the game, reaching the end zone from 26 yards out to give Boston College the early 7-0 advantage.

Nearing the end of the first quarter, Wake Forest received a 37-yard field goal from kicker Jimmy Newman and trailed 7-3.

The Eagles jumped ahead 14-3 after Harris scored on a three-yard touchdown run.

Newman connected on another field goal, this time from 39 yards out, as Wake Forest trailed 14-6 heading into the intermission.

Boston College put up the only points in the third quarter on Harris' third score of the day, this time a one-yard run. At that point, the Eagles led 20-6.

The Demon Deacons finally found the end zone in the final quarter as Givens caught a pass from Marshall Williams for a 41 yard touchdown. Still, the Eagles led 20-13.

Kicker Nate Freese connected on a 25-yard field goal late in the fourth quarter to bring the score to its final of 23-13 victory.
