Terapins Take 7-0 Lead Over Eagles After One Quarter

CHESTNUT HILL – Not much scoring to be had for either team here in the first quarter at Alumni Stadium, but Maryland was able to find the endzone first.

The Terapins drove the ball 48 yards on 13 plays and capped off the drive with a nine-yard touchdown pass from Maryland quarterback Danny O’Brien to wideout Torrey Smith, giving Maryland a 7-0 lead with 5:18 to play in the first quarter.

Neither team could find the endzone in the quarter after that, but the Eagles are driving and have the ball in the Maryland redzone.
