Celtics Offseason 2012: Avery Bradley's Surgery Will Cost Him Start Of Season, Courtney Lee In Play?

The Boston Celtics will not have shooting guard Avery Bradley for the start of the 2012-2013 season due to right shoulder surgery, according to a report (via A. Sherrod Blakely). Bradley's surgery is scheduled for Tuesday. Bradley has already had surgery on his left shoulder this offseason.

Without Bradley, the Celtics will have to make adjustments with the roster players they have such as new signing Jason Terry. However, the C's are also reportedly interested in Courtney Lee of the Houston Rockets. Lee met with Boston head coach Doc Rivers on Saturday (via ESPN Boston). The free agent guard hit 40 percent of his three-pointers (1.5 threes made per game) for Houston last season and scored 11.4 points per game.

The Celtics will be trying to replace what they lost from Ray Allen, who signed with the Miami Heat. Allen shot 45.3 percent from beyond the arc (2.3 threes made per game) and 14.2 points per game.
