While most of Boston Celtics nation begins the healing process of losing veteran shooter Ray Allen, the franchise's front office brass and head coach Doc Rivers are moving on and looking for a replacement. The search could end shortly, however, as ESPN,com's Marc Stein is reporting the Cs are interested in acquiring the Houston Rockets' Courtney Lee, who met with Rivers on Saturday night.
The Celtics don't have the salary-cap space to sign Lee outright, but sources say that the Houston Rockets have let it be known that they're willing to participate in sign-and-trade deals with both Marcus Camby and Lee amid the increasing likelihood that neither of those coveted free agents will be returning to Houston.
Last season, Lee made 40-percent of his 3-point attempts which helped him average 11.4 points per game. Those numbers, however, aren't close to Allen's 45.3-percent from 3-point land and 14.2 ppg.
