2012 NBA Draft Picks Jared Sullinger, Fab Melo, Kris Joseph Sign With Boston Celtics

The Boston Celtics announced on Tuesday that they have agreed to terms with their three draft picks, Jared Sullinger of Ohio State, Fab Melo of Syracuse and Kris Joseph of Syracuse.

The terms of the deals were not disclosed, per team policy.

Sullinger, a 6-foot-9 power forward, was the 21st pick after averaging 17.5 points and 9,2 rebounds during the past season at Ohio State, where he led the Buckeyes to the Final Four. He is the second two-time First Team AP All-American the Celtics have ever drafted. The first was Larry Bird.

Melo, a 7-foot center, and Joseph, a 6-foot-8 wing, were teammates at Syracuse. Melo was named the Big East Defensive Player of the Year after averaging 7.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.9 blocks per game. Joseph led the team in scoring at 13.4 points per game, adding 4.7 rebounds and 1.4 steals.
