Courtney Lee who is leaving the Houston Rockets in a sign-and-trade that will send him to the Boston Celtics is now one step closer to being officially completed. Lee tweeted out that he signed his second contract on Friday morning, but the details of the deal were not there.
News has now emerged about Lee's new contract with the Celtics, and according to Yahoo's Marc Spears, Lee's contract is a four-year, $21.5 million fully guaranteed contract. This deal is quite an increase than his prior salary with the Rockets who were paying him just over $2.2 million per season this past year.
Now that the contract has been signed the trade can be completed. The rest of the trade has the Celtics shipping off E'Twaun Moore, JaJuan Johnson, Sean Williams and a second round draft pick to the Rockets.
