Jeff Green Free Agency Rumors 2012: Boston Celtics Want Green Back

New, 1 comment

Danny Ainge and the Boston Celtics would like to bring back free agent forward Jeff Green, who the team re-signed at the start of this past season but was forced to miss the entire season after doctors discovered that he had an aortic aneurysm. Green is expected to be ready for the 2012-13 season, and Ainge hopes he will be wearing green.

"We intend to have Jeff back," said Ainge after introducing Boston's three rookies during a community event at the Jackson Mann/Horace Mann Education Complex. "Nothing is done, but we intend to have him back. I think we're going to enter a contract with him, hopefully by the end of the moratorium." (via ESPN Boston)

Green has averaged 13.9 points and 5.5 rebounds in his career and averaged 13.3 points and 4.8 rebounds while shooting 44.9 percent from the field in the 2010-11 campaign.
