The Celtics basically replaced veteran leadership with veteran leadership in seeing Ray Allen sign with the Miami Heat this offseason, but acquiring former Mavericks point guard Jason Terry in free agency. Gary Washburn reported on Wednesday that Terry and the Celtics inked a mid-level deal. Terry, 34, agreed to a three-year deal beginning at $5 million per season, but it is unclear if those are the specifics of the final deal.

Terry, of course, has just as much championship pedigree as the core of the Celtics team, having won a championship with the Mavs in 2010-11.
