He has been overshadowed by LeBron James, but Rajon Rondo is still having a spectacular night around the rim in Game 6 of the 2012 NBA Eastern Conference Finals. At halftime, he has 19 points on 7-of-10 shooting with five assists and three steals (and five turnovers).
He has kept the Boston Celtics in a game they may have otherwise been in danger of getting blown out in considering how well James is playing, and has done it with all of the toughness he has shown all series. After landing on the ground after a hard foul in the second quarter, he showed the crowd he was all right by rolling over and pumping out a quick set of knuckle ups a la Kevin Garnett.
He didn't do nearly as many as Garnett, but the the thought was there: The Celtics won't be rolling over to the Heat any time soon.
