Rajon Rondo made a very un-Rondo-like mistake during the third quarter of Tuesday night's Game 5 of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals between the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat. You can probably chalk it up to a simple brain fart, but it was still curious to see the point guard nonchalantly pass the ball back to Ray Allen across midcourt.
It'd be funny if Rondo didn't seem so out-of-sorts on the floor. He is shooting just 1-for-9 from the field for the game, though he does have nine assists to go with his three points. The Celtics are still shooting under 40 percent for the game, but somehow find themselves up, 65-60, after the third quarter. Thankfully, the Heat haven't been able to take off offensively, either.
