2012 NBA Mock Draft: Royce White, Fab Melo Projected To Boston Celtics

In his latest 2012 NBA Mock Draft at SB Nation, Tom Ziller projects the Boston Celtics to select Royce White of Iowa State and Fab Melo of Syracuse, respectively, with pick Nos. 21 and 22 in Thursday night's NBA Draft.

White, a 6-foot-8, 270-pound power forward, averaged 13.4 points, 9.3 rebounds and 5.0 assists during his lone season at Iowa State. He has been rumored to have received a promise to get picked by the Celtics if he's still on the board at that juncture of the draft, but general manager Danny Ainge rejected the notion that he has offered any promises.

Melo, a 7-footer, was named the Big East's Defensive Player of the Year after averaging 7.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.9 blocks as a sophomore at Syracuse. He projects to be a defensive presence, but his offensive game requires a lot of polish.

The Celtics are reportedly looking to move up into the lottery.
