Celtics Offseason 2012: Kevin Garnett Still Undecided On Potential Return, Says Danny Ainge

Kevin Garnett has not made a decision regarding his future with the Boston Celtics, or the NBA in general, the team's President of Basketball Operations, Danny Ainge, told reporters on Wednesday morning at the practice facility in Waltham, MA. Ainge said that he has had conversations with Garnett, but has nothing new to say regarding the topic.

Ainge on KG: "No news to report. We're having conversations with KG but nothing yet. Sooner we could get KG done the better for us."

Ainge also said that he believes Garnett will either return to the Celtics or retire, instead of looking elsewhere on the free agent market. Garnett is an unrestricted free agent, meaning he could sign wherever he wants. Garnett is coming off of a tremendous season with the Celtics, specifically in the second half, and he averaged 15.8 points and 8.2 rebounds during the regular-season while averaging 19.2 points during Boston's lengthy postseason run.
