Rest assured, Celtics Nation. Kevin Garnett will be coming back, at least, that's what Flip Saunders said in the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Saunders, who coached Garnett in his Minnesota Timberwolves days and served as an advisor to the Boston Celtics during this year's postseason run, said as much in his newspaper interview with Sid Hartman.

Well, that settles it then. Saunders was only around the Celtics for a short period of time, but he and Garnett do go back quite a ways. Now, even if all of that is true, Danny Ainge and the Celtics would still have to offer him a contract, which is not a guarantee. It all depends what direction Ainge wants to take the team, although Garnett did prove his worth with his tremendous second half performance and his vintage output in the playoffs.
