Avery Bradley Injury Update: Boston Celtics Guard Reportedly Needs Second Shoulder Surgery 'Shortly'

Boston Celtics guard Avery Bradley will need a second shoulder surgery and the operation will come "shortly," according to the Boston Herald.

The 21-year old had surgery to repair his left shoulder on May 30 and is in the recovery stages, but Mark Murphy of the Herald reports Bradley will also require an additional surgery to repair his right shoulder in the near future.

The left shoulder was the one that popped out four times during the latter stages of the season, including three times in the playoffs that prompted Bradley to undergo season-ending surgery before the Celtics' postseason run concluded. The right shoulder isn't as badly damaged, but began to be a problem as a result of Bradley favoring one arm over the other.

The operations were staggered purposely so Bradley could regain some motion in his left shoulder before undergoing surgery on his right.

The Celtics are hoping Bradley returns for training camp.
