The Boston Celtics and Atlanta Hawks are tied, 40-40, at halftime as the Celts try to close out their first round series of the 2012 NBA Playoffs on Tuesday night to advance to the Eastern Conference semifinals. Boston was set to take a three point deficit into intermission, but Rajon Rondo came through with an ever-so-rare 3-pointer to equalize the game as time expired.
It should be noted that the point guard is just 2-for-7 from the floor for the game, and the Celtics are shooting just 38.5 percent as a team. Brandon Bass currently leads the way with 10 points and five rebounds. Ray Allen pitched in 12 minutes in the first half, picking up seven points.
The Hawks have been even worse from the field, shooting 35.7 percent. Josh Smith is just 1-for-9 so far, though he does lead all players with seven rebounds. Joe Johnson leads all players with 11 points on 4-for-7 shooting.
