Celtics Beat Hawks At Their Own Game

The Boston Celtics cruised to victory in Game 4 of their NBA Playoffs series with the Atlanta Hawks. Despite only scoring 11 points in the fourth quarter of Game 4, the Celtics won the game, 101-79. Neither team had eclipsed the 100-point mark in the series before Sunday so what changed? The Celtics beat the Hawks at their own game.

The Celtics were able to build their lead up to 37 points during their blowout of the Hawks not just because they shot above 50% from the field but because they were able to get easy transition baskets from Atlanta's turnovers early in the contest. The Hawks had eight turnovers in the first quarter which allowed Boston to jump out to a 32-19 lead by the end of the frame. By the end of the first half, the Hawks found themselves down, 64-41. After that, there was no looking back for the C's which now lead the series, 3-1.
